Peter Kiewit Endowment Fund
Upon his death in 1979, the estate of Peter Kiewit awarded a grant of $750,000 to United Way of the Midlands to create the Peter Kiewit Endowment Fund. This endowment fund alone has providing funding of more than $2.4 million over the 36 years it has been in place.
